Gabriel Oliveira, a Brazilian pianist, began his musical studies at the age of 14 and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance in 2019. From an early stage of his career, he developed a strong aspiration to pursue his artistic education in Germany, a goal he has consistently followed.
He has performed at numerous music festivals in Brazil, Portugal, and Germany and, in 2017, was awarded first prize at Brazil’s most prestigious piano competition, the XI Concurso Profª Edna Basetti Habbith in Curitiba. His artistic profile has been further distinguished through prizes at several international competitions, including the WPTA Argentina International Piano Competition (2021), the Worldvision International Music Contest (2022), the Concurso Dialog in Frankfurt am Main (2023), the Louis Spohr Festival (2023), and the Andrea Baldi International Piano Competition in Bologna (2024).
Gabriel holds two Master’s degrees: one in Musical Performance from the Professional Graduate Program in Music at the Federal University of Bahia (Brazil), and another in Artistic Instrumental Performance from the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt am Main.
Alongside his concert activity, Gabriel is deeply committed to piano pedagogy and is widely recognized for his inspiring, musical, and sensitive teaching approach, particularly in his work with children. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Piano Instrumental Pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt, studying in the studio of Professor Oliver Kern.
